Johan Leysen

  • Biography

    Leysen was born in Belgium in 1950. He began his acting career in 1978 in a mini TV-show, in which he played the role of the painter Rubens. He starred in Marino Hänsel’s Sur la Terre comme au ciel in 1981, his first French film. He now plays in both French and Belgian productions (Godard’s Hail Mary in 1985, Chéreau’s Queen Margot in 1993, Ruiz’s Savage Souls in 2001).
